As Shabbat approaches this evening, Psalm 92 will be read in synagogues and homes across Israel and the Jewish world. Every time I witness evil seemingly triumph or experience betrayal, I find great comfort in these words: “O Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this. When the wicked spring up like grass, And when all the workers of iniquity flourish, It is that they may be destroyed forever. But You, Lord, are on high forevermore. For behold, Your enemies, O Lord, For behold, Your enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.” (Psalm 92:5-9, NKJV) Evil flourishes only for a season. Righteousness endures forever. Those who hate God and His people may seem to have their way for a little while, but their end is certain - eternal destruction. Stay close to the Lord and to His Word. Tell others about Him, and “redeem the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16, NKJV). Shabbat Shalom, Amir
